We keep it simple
At CodeLab we pride ourselves on making the website-building process as easy and as rewarding as possible.
Here’s how it’s done
1. First Contact
You tell us about your business, what you’d like your website to achieve, and the budget you have to work with. We’ll then come back to you in a few days with our ideas, and associated costs, in a detailed project summary. Once you’ve approved our proposal and cost, we’re then ready to get started. We kick off the project with a face to face or telephone meeting to make sure we're on the right track.
2. Design Process
We begin by creating the layout and site-map, essential to maximising visual impact and ease of navigation. Depending on your budget we can design your logo, source images and graphics or have graphics custom made just for you. Whether you opt for a WordPress theme, or a design specific for your needs, you’ll be able to review progress and make changes every step of the way.
3. Development Process
We then move on to building your website. We build it properly so it runs fast and is glitch free. We install and set up necessary extensions, plugins or integrations. As part of our development process we start on keyword research. Finding the right words and phrases, unique to your business or project, is vital for ensuring all images and pages are optimised, maximising search engine visibility.
4. Copywriting
Word-of-mouth, advertising and sharing links are all great ways to get your new site noticed, but the fastest way to get eyes on your pages is to use the right words within the copy. This helps search engines elevate your site above your rivals' when users are surfing the net for your product or service. We’ll ensure your material is optimised in every facet, right down to keyword-rich picture titles.
5. Testing & Going Live
When we’ve tested – and retested – and you’ve signed off your new website, we’re ready to go live. Once live we test and check every page, link and website form. We also submit your site to major search engines to improve site indexing. We provide training and support to ensure you’re comfy in the driver’s seat. But rest assured, we’re always only a phone call away if you need any further help.
6. Website Statistics
Once live, it’s vital to keep track of how your site is performing via Google Analytics. We’ll show you how to use Google Analytics to track and analyse how site visitors are engaging with you. You can determine which pages ‘bounce’ users away from your site, which keywords attract the most visitors, or drive the most sales. You can then use this data to adapt and adjust your site.
